In 2003, MSF will at least double the number of patients under antiretroviral therapy (ART) in its existing programmes. In addition, MSF will double the number of countries where it is providing ART programmes.
In the coming year, MSF is planning to start new or additional ARV projects in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Rwanda, Peru, Honduras, Indonesia, Laos and Myanmar. In addition, ARV treatment may be provided in MSF projects on a case-by-case basis.
