This year the worst meningitis epidemic in a long time has killed up to 2,000 people and was contracted by 60,000 in West Africa. In its biggest ever vaccination campaign, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) medical teams have vaccinated more than seven million people in Nigeria, Niger and Chad and assisted in the treatment of thousands of sick patients.
