Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) cannot confirm reports that our team, abducted on Wednesday, March 11, from Serif Umra, North Darfur, Sudan, has been released.
MSF can only confirm that earlier this evening, Friday, 13 March, we were informed of the possible release of our team.
However, since we heard this new information, we have not seen our colleagues, nor have we had the chance to speak with them.
MSF will only be able to confirm information about a release once we have direct contact with our team ourselves.
MSF has nothing further to say at this stage.
