We set up the MSF Access Campaign in 1999 to push for access to, and the development of, life-saving and life-prolonging medicines, diagnostic tests and vaccines for people in our programmes and beyond.

MSF's emergency cholera response in DRC

The cholera epidemic, which has so far caused more than 250 deaths, started in March in Kisangani, the capital of Oriental Province and the last stop on the Congo River for the cargo barges that are the main form of transport in this largely roadless area.
