Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is in touch with local and national authorities, healthcare workers, and other aid organizations in the Hurricane Katrina-affected region of the United States to closely monitor and assess whether MSF can contribute to the emergency relief effort.
At present, MSF is not accepting donations for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, but urges those wishing to donate funds or services to help those affected by this disaster to support the many organizations that are already actively providing assistance in the region.
MSF continues to provide medical care to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries.
